We've heard 2020 described as the absolute "worst." It has been quite a year of challenges professionally and personally for all of us. The top quote of the year has been narrowed down to the a list of 3: "You are muted," "Can you see my screen?" and "Ah, you froze."
How all of us conducted business moved from in-person smiles, handshakes and hugs to virtual conference rooms and waves from our home offices, dining room tables and sofas.
But we have seen the absolute best from our colleagues and education foundations across the nation. You rose to the challenge to provide devices, connectivity, supplies, lunches and emergency funding in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis. This year, more than ever before, our communities and parents greatly value the work of educators and the process it takes to teach the next generation.
Your efforts to mobilize donors and community partners, and to meet unprecedented demand, was by far one of the brightest spots of 2020!

On January 14, Foundation Innovation, in partnership with the Texas Education Foundation Network, led Board2Board-Austin with representatives from more than 20 central Texas organizations.
February 6-7, Foundation Innovation led the Executive Director Bootcamp in Buda, Texas. It was one of the final in-person gatherings as a team for the year, but our work to support you did not stop there!
In March, Foundation Innovation consultants led a virtual panel discussion, answering pressing questions submitted by education foundations from across the US as you navigated the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic.
